About eMaths10
Purpose
A focused approach to maths revision.
eMaths 10 is a collection of short mathematics revision activities designed to help students revisit learning, practise essential skills and identify what needs further attention.
Each activity is a ten-minute maths quest, with ten points available. The aim is to make regular revision manageable, purposeful and rewarding.
How it works
Each quest brings together three resources:
Knowledge sheet: revisit the key ideas, methods and notation before you begin.
Worksheet: set a ten-minute timer and attempt the questions.
Worked solutions: check your answers, follow the reasoning and learn from mistakes.
Record your score, identify an area to work on and return to the activity later to check your progress.More than a score
A score out of ten provides a useful starting point. The most valuable part is understanding which methods you can use confidently and where you need more practice.
Try recalling what you know before looking at the solutions. If you need support, use the knowledge sheet, then attempt the questions again independently. Small, regular steps can help you build a more secure understanding over time.
For students and teachers
eMaths 10 is designed for use after classroom instruction and alongside past examination questions. It gives students a clear structure for independent revision and offers teachers a flexible resource for lesson starters, homework, topic review and revision planning.

Creator
eMaths 10 was created by Aidan Roche, an Irish post-primary mathematics teacher and PhD researcher in mathematics education, building on his work developing teaching and learning resources through eMaths.ie and onlinemaths.org.
The aim is straightforward: to help students take an active role in their revision through focused practice, clear explanations and reflection on their progress.
